Fairmount Southside : Trash Week is Worthy

Heaps of monkey grass, construction debris, discarded plants, old bricks, children's toys, two-legged furniture and what nots are all on display and for the taking during this neighborhood's third Monday of the month large trash pick up. My neighbor has claimed they have built their greenhouse from discarded construction debris and if you saw it, you would not dispute this claim. Recently we did some repair to our wood siding so demolition was inevitable to replace with new wood. So we heaped our piles of wood during trash week and we had four knocks on our door that night from treasure seekers. Its a ritual to drive around looking for needed materials. I love it.
